Road / H/T tyres
A strong starting point when the vehicle is used mainly on paved roads. These tyres normally prioritise road comfort, lower tread noise, predictable highway behaviour and everyday wet-road performance.
A/T tyres
Designed for a mix of paved roads and rougher surfaces. A/T can make sense when gravel, unpaved roads, work sites or light off-road conditions are a regular part of the vehicle's use.
M/T tyres
A more specialised choice for demanding off-road conditions. The larger tread voids and aggressive pattern can improve traction in mud and loose terrain, but usually bring more noise and less refinement on normal roads.
Pickups need the correct load capability
For a working pickup, check load requirements as carefully as tread type. A rugged-looking tyre is not suitable if its load or service specification is wrong for the vehicle.
Before changing tyre size
Upsizing can affect overall diameter, steering clearance, braking feel and gearing. Confirm wheel and vehicle compatibility before fitting a different size.
