Where M/T makes sense
Vehicles that regularly operate in mud, deep loose surfaces, rough off-road terrain or specialised work conditions may benefit from the more open tread of an M/T tyre.
What to expect on normal roads
Compared with H/T or many A/T tyres, M/T patterns can create more tread noise and a heavier ride or steering feel. Wet-road behaviour and braking feel can also differ, so the tyre should match the vehicle's real operating environment.
Modified 4x4s and flotation sizes
Sizes such as 31x10.5R15 or 33x12.50R17 are often used on modified pickups and 4x4s. Confirm wheel width, offset, suspension clearance and steering travel before ordering.
Specification still matters
Load rating, tyre size and vehicle compatibility remain essential even when off-road traction is the main priority.
