Passenger tyres

Passenger tyres for everyday driving in Ghana.

For daily road use, start with the correct tyre size and service specification. Then compare the things you will actually feel on the road: wet grip, braking, comfort, noise, steering response and tread life.

Start with the full tyre specification

The size on the sidewall is only part of the specification. Check the load index, speed rating and any XL requirement stated for the vehicle. Two tyres marked 205/55R16 can still carry different service descriptions.

What matters for everyday road use

  • Wet-road grip and predictable braking in heavy rain.
  • Stable steering for city and highway driving.
  • Ride comfort on uneven road surfaces.
  • Road noise at normal driving speeds.
  • Tread life that suits the vehicle, mileage and budget.

Do not assume a different size is an upgrade

A wider or lower-profile tyre can change overall diameter, wheel protection, steering feel and clearance. Stay with an approved specification unless an alternative has been properly checked.

Choosing between current options

Once the specification is confirmed, compare the actual tyre pattern, load/speed rating, intended use, manufacture date where relevant and price. Use Find My Tyre if you need help identifying the size, then ask Thunder Skylight for the current options.
