Road / H/T
Best starting point for vehicles that spend nearly all of their time on paved roads. The design normally prioritizes road noise, wet-road behaviour, comfort and predictable highway handling.
A/T
A balanced mixed-use category for vehicles that genuinely combine paved roads with gravel, rough tracks, worksites or light off-road conditions.
M/T
Mud Terrain uses a more open, aggressive tread intended for tougher off-road conditions. On normal roads it can be noisier and less refined, so it should be chosen because the vehicle needs that capability, not because the tread looks stronger.
A practical decision
Ask yourself where the vehicle spends most of its kilometres, not where it goes once or twice a year. Then match the tread category to that use while keeping the correct size and load specification.
